Injured Bond out of Test series

Shane Bond has been ruled out of the rest of the Test series against Pakistan due to a torn abdominal muscle. Bond was the Player of the Match in the thrilling win in Dunedin, where he took eight wickets for the game in what was his first Test in two years. Bond suffered minor abdominal discomfort following the 32-run victory and scans on Tuesday revealed a one-centimetre tear in an abdominal muscle. The New Zealand team manager Dave Currie said Bond would be rested from the second and third Tests as a precaution. He is expected to recover in time for New Zealand's home series against Bangladesh early next year. The selectors are likely to name a replacement for Bond by Wednesday, with the second Test set to begin in Wellington on Thursday. The Dunedin match marked Bond's comeback to Test cricket after he was made ineligible for New Zealand selection due to his decision to play in the ICL. Bond has always been injury-prone and up until his ICL defection he had managed to play only 17 Tests in six years

'We didn't assess conditions properly'

After being handed a seven-wicket thrashing by England, South Africa's captain Graeme Smith has called on his young team to learn to adapt to conditions better. In the absence of the injured Jacques Kallis, South Africa have an inexperienced middle-order, which was blown away by the pace attack led by James Anderson. The defeat came only two days after the home side crushed England by 112 runs in Cape Town. "It was a hugely disappointing performance today," Smith said. "Not so much at the outcome of the match, although it's always terrible to lose, but it's the fact that we didn't assess conditions well enough and post a total that would have been defendable." After looking irresistible, piling up 354 on Friday, South Africa's batting was rolled over for 119 on Sunday. The only South African specialist batsman to stick around was their most inexperienced, Alviro Petersen, who made a battling half-century before becoming the last man out. "One-twenty just wasn't enough. If we could have posted something over 200, then we would have been in with a chance," Smith said. "These guys have got the ability - it's just about getting their decision-making up to scratch. "We've got a lot of young guys in key decision-making areas, and they need to learn quickly and grow with the responsibility that's been put on their shoulders, to move the team forward." England already have an unassailable 2-1 lead in the series, but South Africa have a chance to level it in the final one-dayer in Durban on Friday.

US offers Pakistan expanded strategic partnership: report

WP report says offer includes enhanced military and civilian cooperation * US warns Pakistan against support for militant groupsWASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama has offered Pakistan an expanded strategic partnership, including additional military and economic cooperation, The Washington Post reported on Monday. The newspaper said the offer – including an effort to help reduce tensions between Pakistan and India – was contained in a two-page letter delivered to President Asif Ali Zardari this month by US National Security Adviser James Jones. It was accompanied by assurances from Jones that the US would increase its military and civilian efforts in Afghanistan and it planned no early withdrawal, said the report. Despite the public and political attention focused on the number of new troops in Afghanistan, Pakistan has been the hot core of a months-long strategy review, the paper noted. The long-term consequences of failure there, the review concluded, far outweigh those in Afghanistan, according to The Post. “We can’t succeed without Pakistan,” the paper quotes a senior administration official as saying. Administration officials emphasised that without “changing the nature of US-Pakistan relations in a new direction, you’re not going to win in Afghanistan”, said The Post. US offers – outlined during Hillary Clinton’s visit to Islamabad – centre on a far more comprehensive and long-term bilateral relationship, said the report. Greater cooperation: It would feature enhanced development and trade assistance, improved intelligence collaboration and a more secure and upgraded military equipment pipeline, more public praise and less public criticism of Pakistan, and an initiative to build greater regional cooperation among Pakistan, India and Afghanistan, said the paper. US warning: The letter delivered by Jones also included a blunt warning that the US would not tolerate support within Pakistan’s military and intelligence operations of insurgents fighting in Afghanistan. The newspaper said US President Barack Obama had called for closer collaboration against all extremist groups, and his letter named five: Al Qaeda, the Afghan Taliban, the Haqqani network, Lashkar-e-Tayyaba and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. agencies

Winter Beauty Program for Your Hair

Cold and dense hats is not an easy test for your hair. Your hair is crumpled, and thus it becomes more fragile, it does not "breathe" and becomes greasy faster. Besides, lack of vitamins in the body begins to affect the general condition of your hair negatively. To maintain a luxurious head of hair, you need to apply regenerative therapy regularly; and then your hair will become soft, silken and gentle. Masks with clay and ash berries will help you to fight against wiry greasy hair. Here is the recipe of a clay mask. Take a packet of green cosmetic clay; dilute it with water according to the instruction. Add a few drops of wheat sprout oil (or calendula, or rosemary oil). Apply the mask on your hair and put a plastic cap on your head. Leave it for 30 minutes, and then wash it away carefully massaging your head. Mask of ash berries: mash fresh berries in a bowl; add a few drops of mint pepper essential oil. Put the pulp on your hair and head skin and hold it for 30 minutes. Then rinse your hair carefully. If your curls look dull, brittle and lifeless, the vitamin session will help to revive them. Vegetable oils and natural ingredients are the excellent basis for such session. For example, here is a honey-oat mask: mix 100 grams of honey, 100 grams of oat flakes, and in 5 drops of lemon and cucumber juice. Heat the mixture slightly, and then rub it into your hair roots. Wash it away after 30 minutes. Repeat the procedure once a week

Afghan donors must fight corruption

US Defence Secretary Robert Gates has said international donors must do more to ensure their aid does not encourage corruption in Afghanistan.

Robert Gates said donors should tighten control of how the "significant influx" of money into the country is used. He was speaking a day after President Hamid Karzai was sworn in for a second term after a controversial election. Western leaders have put pressure on Mr Karzai to deal with corruption and remove former warlords from government. US President Barack Obama - who is considering whether to send up to 40,000 more troops to tackle the Taliban in Afghanistan - has also spoken out about the need to fight corruption in that country. Mr Gates said the presence of international forces and contractors in Afghanistan had "provided a significant influx of assistance dollars and contracts".He said the US and other foreign donors should act whenever they found signs of corruption in their contracts or development projects with Afghan or international groups. "The place to start is the place where we have the greatest leverage and that's where we're writing the cheques," he said. Mr Gates' comments, at a news conference in Halifax, Canada, echoed remarks by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday.
She said the US was working to ensure US funds in Afghanistan were "accounted for and used as intended". The BBC's Paul Adams in Washington says that at a time when the US public is increasingly sceptical about the war and its cost, the Obama administration is clearly seeking to give reassurance that the cause is worthwhile.

Murray ready for London test

Andy Murray is relishing playing in front of great home support as he looks to emerge from a tough group in the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.

Murray was today drawn with world number one Roger Federer, US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro and Spain's Fernando Verdasco in Group A for the showpiece event at the 02 Arena in London.Group B features Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Nikolay Davydenko and Robin Soderling.Soderling initially failed to qualify for the prestigious eight-man event but was handed a place when Wimbledon finalist Andy Roddick was forced to pull out through injury.Murray has a superb record against Federer, winning six of their nine matches, and will be keen to bounce back from an early exit from the Paris Masters last week."In my group Federer is the best in the world, Del Potro has won the US Open and Verdasco has just had his best season to date. There are no easy matches regardless of what group you're in," the world number four said."At the end of your career you're remembered for grand slams, but to win something like this, you have to beat five of the best players in the world in consecutive matches if you want to lift the trophy, which is a very difficult thing to do."You might even have to beat a Federer or a Nadal twice, so it's a very tough thing to win."Obviously I look forward to playing Roger. I've played Juan a few times on the tour recently and also had a close match recently with Verdasco indoors in Valencia (which he won on his way to a sixth title of the year)."It's a tough group but if I play well I think I have a good chance of qualifying."Murray, whose last appearance on home soil ended in Great Britain's Davis Cup defeat to Poland, added on ATP World Tour Uncovered: "It should be great."The O2 Arena is pretty amazing. There's a great atmosphere and with the quality of players it should make for a great occasion and hopefully I can play well."You are guaranteed Roger or Rafa playing three times, no matter if they win or lose, that's the plus side. From the very first match you get to see the top eight players against each other, which doesn't happen elsewhere in the year."It's nice to be able to spend time at home because we do spend a lot of time travelling."The round-robin group format will decide the four players who advance to the semi-finals, with the group winners kept apart in the last four. All singles matches will be the best of three tie-break sets and get under way on Sunday, November 22.The final is scheduled for November 29 with a first prize of US dollars 770,000, although that rises to more than US dollars 1.6million if the champion remains undefeated throughout.

World Cup Qualifier Play-off Review

William Gallas' controversial extra-time winner spared France's blushes as the Republic of Ireland's dreams were dashed in a 2-1 aggregate loss.

The Arsenal defender bundled home skipper Thierry Henry's cross 13 minutes into extra-time, although the Barcelona star appeared to handle before he picked out his team-mate in the middle. It was tough on Ireland who had levelled the aggregate scores through Robbie Keane's 32nd-minute strike and threatened to take the lead as John O'Shea and Damien Duff passed up glorious opportunities.Slovenia reached the 2010 World Cup finals at the expense of nine-man Russia thanks to Zlatko Dedic's 44th-minute goal. The Bochum striker toe-ended in Valter Birsa's cross a minute before half-time in what proved to be the game's only goal to spark jubilant scenes at the Gradski Vrt stadium.Russia, who had Aleksandr Kerzhakov and Yuri Zhirkov sent off in the second half, were left to rue some poor defending and an overall disjointed performance. The warning signs were there for Hiddink as early as the fourth minute, when a simple through-ball from Birsa inexplicably cut open the Russian defence and allowed Milivoje Novakovic a clear sight of goal, but his finish lacked confidence and was straight at keeper Igor Akinfeev.Six minutes later there was a huge let-off for Russia when Andraz Kirm's cross from the left struck the leg of the hapless Sergei Ignashevich, who saw the ball rebound off the post with Akinfeev motionless. As the clock ticked towards half-time, the home support erupted as Dedic got behind two Russian markers to turn in Birsa's cross and give Slovenia the lead at the break.Hiddink made two changes at half-time, bringing on Sergei Semak and Aleksandr Kerzhakov for Pavlyuchenko and Yanbaev. But Russia's night went from bad to worse when the Dinamo Moscow striker was shown a contentious red card by Norwegian referee Terje Hauge on 66 minutes.Zhirkov's cross from the left was whipped in dangerously towards Kerzhakov, who got the better of his marker and slid in on goalkeeper Samir Handanovic, appearing to make a legitimate stab at the loose ball. The challenge was interpreted as dangerous play by the referee, and closer inspection of the incident also appears to show Slovenia defender Bostjan Cesar strike Kerzhakov in the face, while goalkeeper Handanovic chipped in with a retaliatory hand aimed at the striker.Hiddink reacted by throwing on another striker, Pavel Pogrebniak, in place of Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and the Stuttgart man almost made an immediate impact with a 12-yard header from Arshavin's cross that was held by Handanovic. There were more ugly scenes in stoppage time as Zhirkov was shown a second yellow card following an altercation with a Slovenia substitute on the by-line.Dimitris Salpigidis scored the only goal as Greece clinched a place at the 2010 World Cup courtesy of a narrow 1-0 victory over Ukraine at the Donbass Arena in Donetsk.Salpigidis timed his run to perfection just after the half-hour mark to clip a composed finish beyond Ukraine goalkeeper Andrei Piatov, following Celtic striker Giorgos Samaras' superb through-ball.Alexei Mikhailichenko's side, needing to score twice to keep their qualification hopes alive, penned the Greeks in the own half for long spells in the second half but failed to breach a visiting rearguard inspired by goalkeeper Alexandros Tzorvas, who made a string of fine saves. It is the first time Greece, the 2004 European Champions, have qualified for a World Cup since 1994 in the United States.Antar Yahia's spectacular goal earned Algeria the final African qualifying spot in South Africa. The centre-half volleyed home five minutes before half-time and a solid rearguard effort in the second half kept out Egypt for a 1-0 victory.
Emad Meteab had the best chance for Egypt but was denied by impressive Algeria keeper Fawzi Chaouchi.

Jayawardene double flattens India

Mahela Jayawardene ground the Indian bowlers into the Ahmedabad dust, almost ruling out a defeat for Sri Lanka in the first Test. This was only the second time that Sri Lanka took a first-innings lead in India, and only the first time they crossed 450 in the country. Jayawardene's sixth double-century, and twelfth 150, was one of his easier ones because for more than half his innings India didn't try to take his wicket, and only towards the end was he made to work hard for singles. The bowlers were not helped by the slowness of the pitch and the indiscipline of the spinners, who managed just one wicket in 102 overs, that too a dodgy decision against Angelo Mathews. Jayawardene was supported by Thilan Samaraweera in the first session, Prasanna Jayawardene in the second and third, and by muddled thinking from India in both. Their fast bowlers couldn't generate any swing, conventional or reverse, but still looked the only ones capable of making things happen. The only blip for Sri Lanka came when Samaraweera was set up by Zaheer Khan and dismissed by Ishant Sharma, but Jayawardene had started assuredly, and never gave India a serious look-in. Despite that Mathews wicket to what turned out to be the last ball before lunch, the Jayawardenes thwarted any hopes of a quick Indian comeback. Sri Lanka started the day 151 runs behind, knowing they needed a lead of at least 70 runs to compensate for having to bat last on a pitch that was turning. But the problem with that turn was its slowness, and both Jayawardene and Samaraweera negotiated it comfortably in the morning. India were made to bowl spinners for the first 10 overs before the new ball was due. And in a move that spoke a lot about their attitude, they came out in the containment mode, with a deep point for Harbhajan Singh. Not a single shot went there, and the fielder watched late-cuts from Jayawardene go to the third-man boundary. The only blotch on Jayawardene's morning came when Amit Mishra drew an edge from him, but the ball died on Rahul Dravid at slip. Twenty-nine runs and two maidens came in those first 10 overs, the last of which had Mishra beating Samaraweera with a googly and missing out on an lbw call. Both batsmen reached fifties during that spell, and brought up their ninth 100-run stand. That last over was about the best Mishra had bowled, but MS Dhoni went for pace from the 81st over.
The sixth over with the new ball, bowled by Zaheer, was the best of the day from India's perspective. He beat Samaraweera with an away-going delivery, got him into an uncertain position with a bouncer, and then hit him in the midriff with another. Ishant continued from there in the next over, beating him with one that held its line. And then came a pull shot Samaraweera would otherwise have kept along the ground, but was hurried into this time.
Jayawardene made sure India wouldn't feel too excited when, two overs later, he drove Zaheer for three boundaries in four balls: through mid-on, wide of midwicket, and through covers. The last one of those shots took Jayawardene to 74, Sri Lanka to within 78 of India's total, and Zaheer out of the attack. The spinners came on soon, and failed to make an impact as Sri Lanka started to steadily push the accelerator.Prasanna looked to sweep Harbhajan, while runs kept coming effortlessly for Jayawardene. Dhoni spread the field, but Mishra and Harbhajan struggled to keep the same batsman on strike for a considerable period. Despite the defensive mindset, India could manage only four maidens in the first two sessions. India's bowling was most insipid in the second session and the Jayawardenes capitalised fully. Without much fuss, Prasanna reached 42 by tea, and Jayawardene 142, another of his tons that seemed inevitable once he got in. By tea, the two had added 108 off 27.4 overs, 84 of which were run. Post tea, both sides called ceasefire. Dhoni got spinners to bowl from round the stumps with 6-3 leg-side fields, while the Jayawardenes didn't seem interested in taking too many risks, and were happy scoring in ones and twos and occasional boundaries. In the 144th over of the innings, Sri Lanka ran their 200th single. In the 158th over, Zaheer bowled the 17th no-ball; and India had got only 21 runs from four of their top-six batsmen. While India managed to stem the run-flow in the final session - a total of 108 runs came in 36 overs - it didn't help much because there were still two days left in the match, and Sri Lanka got closer and closer to not having to bat again. The senior Jayawardene didn't let fatigue get the better of him and reached the double with two overs to go, while Prasanna took the opportunity to move towards what would be a risk-free second century.

Maradona earns World Cup reprieve

How will Diego Maradona fare as Argentina's coach in next year's World Cup?
The light punishment he received from Fifa at the weekend means that now there is nothing to stop Maradona sitting on the bench and standing on the touchline in South Africa.
The initial impediment, of course, was that Argentina might not qualify. It was tense, they left it late but got there in the end, securing their place with a last round
1-0 win away to Uruguay.
Then, in the post-match press conference, came the other possible impediment. Maradona has never been equipped for a career in the diplomatic corps. There is little filter between what he feels and what he says, and with qualification in the bag it all came out; all the stress of a difficult few months, all the hurt at the criticism that had come his way - all externalised in
a foul mouthed diatribe aimed at the press.
When Fifa announced that it would be taking disciplinary action, the possibility existed that Maradona´s World Cup would be over before it had begun. One potential punishment was a five-game ban, to be served in official competitive matches.
This would have rendered Maradona unable to be on the touchline or in the dressing- room until the semi-finals of the World Cup. He almost certainly would have had to be replaced. What would be the point of having a coach who is unable to perform the function?
So the sword of
Blatter-clese was hanging over Maradona - but has now been removed with the levity of the punishment. There is a small fine (just under £15,000) and a two-month ban from football activity - at a time when, with Argentina in high summer, there is little going on.

A game against Catalonia is planned for late December, and Maradona will have to miss that one. But he will be back in action well before the next Fifa date, in March, when the build-up to South Africa continues with a high profile friendly away to Germany.
Has the incident affected his prestige in Argentina? I think it has, though his prestige would inevitably take a bruising from stepping into the job. In a nation of football coaches his team selections could not possibly please everyone.
Some were shocked by the crudeness of his outburst, and many parents were upset by requests from their children to explain what had been said. Also, offending the press is not usually a sound strategy for making friends and influencing people. He doesn't like criticism? Fine, but he can certainly give it. Local newspapers dug out the quotes from when Maradona had a go at previous national team coaches.
But there is also a section of the press that, in their admiration for him and in exchange for access and interviews, will forgive Maradona anything.
Just as, abroad, there are plenty who forgive him nothing. And so all balance is lost. He's either a deity or a madman who has taken charge of a world-class team and hurtled them straight towards the rocks.
The fact is that he inherited a team which, prior to the resignation of
Alfio Basile, had won one of its last seven World Cup qualifiers. Under Maradona, with more difficult fixtures, they won four in eight. We can certainly be critical of some of his selections and substitutions, but there is no statistical basis for sacking him.
And now the Fifa punishment has been light, there is no disciplinary basis either. In fact it was a good few days for Maradona, who emerged strengthened from
Saturday's friendly away to Spain, even though his side went down 2-1.
Firstly, the team clearly played for him. Argentina hauled themselves back into a match where they were being over-run. They showed more spirit and attitude than football - at times an excess of spirit when the tackles were flying. The key point, though, is that they did not roll over.
Secondly, Maradona took advantage of the half-time break to improve the side. After the interval, with defence and midfield closer together, it was much harder for Spain to play their way through. At times Maradona has wrecked his own team with bad half-time substitutions. This time, instead of panic changes, he came up with a sound positional adjustment.
Of course, the easier way to play an improved second half is to produce a very bad first one - and Argentina were totally dominated in the opening 45 minutes. I can't remember the last time I saw an Argentina side have so little of the ball. There is plenty of work to be done, because last Saturday's line-up is very unlikely to make a serious challenge for the World Cup.
A back four of Coloccini, De Michelis, Heinze and Ansaldi inspires little confidence, and with Veron rested for this match, there was no-one linking up properly with
Messi. I tend to the view that, with a dearth of top class full-backs it might be better to play a back three, and pack central midfield. But that will be Diego Maradona´s decision - and the light punishment handed out by Fifa on Sunday would seem to ensure that he will be the man making the decisions for Argentina in next year's World Cup

Dilshan unstoppable in opener’s role

Tillakaratne Dilshan seems to have found a Philosopher’s Stone, one that turns anything it touches into gold. The 33-year-old has had a stupendous 2009 and whatever responsibility he has taken on in the last 10 months, he has acquitted himself admirably.
After making a successful transition from the middle order to opening the innings in limited-overs cricket, Dilshan is scripting another success story in the longer format.
There were doubts over his participation in the first Test after he suffered an ankle injury during training in Mumbai but his eagerness to be fit for the game was evident when he batted in the nets despite the doctors advising him three-four days rest.
On Tuesday, the Delhi Daredevils player scored his fifth Test century in this calendar year and second ton as an opener in three games to put the visitors in a comfortable position against India.
Dilshan was pushed up the order during the Test series against New Zealand in August since the hosts were struggling to find a reliable opening pair after the retirement of Sanath Jayasuriya. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands, scoring 92 and 123 not out to help beat the visitors in the opening Test in Galle by 96 runs.
After that match, Dilshan said opening the innings gave him greater freedom to dominate the opposition and on Tuesday he showed what he meant.
“I think the change in batting spot has worked for me. Once I get a start I can go on to bat longer,” Dilshan said.
“I like the ball to come on to the bat. With the new ball, I can play my shots and that helps,” he added.
The right-hander played himself in on a wicket that had very little in it for the bowlers and once he got set, bowling to him was nothing less than an ordeal.
Dilshan reached 50 in 65 balls and took just 55 more deliveries for the next sixty runs. He was particularly severe on Amit Mishra, stepping out to the leg-spinner every time he tossed the ball. He finally fell while going for another big hit off Zaheer Khan.
One thing is certain, an in-form Dilshan could be a thorn in India’s flesh in this series.

Computer data recovery techniques include the most simple of operations, like simply retrieving an accidentally deleted file, to very complex file retrieval procedures that only professionals should attempt to do.If you are trying to proceed with your hard disk recovery solution on your own, first start with the most obvious answer. Look in your recycle bin to see if the file has been placed there. If it is, you can choose the "restore" option, and your system will automatically put the file back on your computer where it was stored originally. Of course, if every retrieval was this simple, there would be no need for computer professionals who specialize in data recovery, so chances are you'll need to try a different technique to find your lost data.If you've deleted a file on your computer, and you've emptied your recycle bin, don't despair. When a file is deleted on a computer, it's not erased immediately from the system. What actually happens is the computer marks the deleted file as "deleted", and it is no longer in view to users within your computer's files. The file remains on the hard drive until new data is saved over it, similar to recording songs on cassette tapes. So, in order for computer data recovery to happen on files that have been deleted, you'll need to attempt to recover them before new data has been written over the file. The best thing you can do to increase your chances of success is to immediately stop using the computer until you've retrieved the deleted file. The more you use your computer, the more information will be saved and the more likely the information could be saved over the file you are hoping to get back!

Malik remains captain for indefinite period

Shoaib Malik has been retained as Pakistan's captain for an indefinite period. The decision was made by PCB chairman Ijaz Butt and not the board's governing council as had been expected.
Salim Altaf, the board's chief operating officer, confirmed Malik's extension and said the chairman had made the decision and not sought the council's approval as it was not operational, six of its members having resigned.
Butt said he saw "no reason to replace" Malik as captain, who himself said the decision would spur him on further. "Ever since I took over the team, my aim has been for us to fight and play as a unit, so that remains the prime target, and I aim to take Pakistan to the top place in the world," Malik told AFP.
"I am thankful to the PCB, the PCB chairman for showing faith and confidence in me. I will always try my level best to keep the team on the winning track."
Malik's captaincy came up for review at the end of 2008, but the extension of his tenure was a formality after he got the vote of confidence from both the PCB chairman as well as Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam in recent weeks. Former players have continued to express doubts over Malik's potential as a leader in the past, and former team-mate Mohammad Yousuf blamed the "lack of respect" from Malik as one of the reasons for his signing up with the ICL.
There have also been persistent reports of rifts between Malik and other senior players. But he seems to have won over Intikhab, who had said before he took over as coach that Shahid Afridi was a better candidate than Malik.
Malik was handed the reins following Pakistan's early exit in the 2007 World Cup. Under him, Pakistan have had mixed fortunes. They reached the final of the ICC World Twenty20 in 2007, and last year they beat India in the Kitply Cup final in Bangladesh, followed by a 3-0 sweep in the ODI series against West Indies in Abu Dhabi in November. Malik led Pakistan to a country record 12 successive ODI wins in 2008, though the bulk of them came against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh.
However, Malik also lost both the home Test and ODI series to South Africa in 2007, as well as the Test and ODI series in India that followed. The team also failed to make it the final of the Asia Cup held in Pakistan in June-July 2008. In an otherwise bleak international schedule in 2008 - Pakistan did not play a single Test - Malik, however, impressed the board with domestic success.
He first led Sialkot Stallions to the Twenty20 title, before leading Punjab to victory in the Pentangular One Day cup. That win, in particular, when he faced off against three potential contenders for the national captaincy in Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar and Misbah-ul-Haq, made a particularly strong impression on the board.
